Inflammatory Conditions & Immune Support

Inflammatory Conditions

& Immune Support

Inflammatory conditions and low immune function affect the body in very different ways.

Inflammatory conditions - such as rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis - happen when the immune system becomes overactive, responding too strongly and sometimes attacking healthy tissues by mistake. This can lead to constant fatigue & exhaustion, swelling, grain fog, discomfort, joint and muscle aches, digestive troubles, skin flare‑ups, and changes in energy or mobility.

Low immune function is the opposite: an underactive response. This can show up as feeling run‑down more often, slower recovery, catching infections more easily, or experiencing post‑viral fatigue. These patterns are often linked to lifestyle‑driven drops in the body’s natural defences. More severe immune‑related conditions (such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, Type 1 diabetes, immunodeficiency disorders, or lowered immunity during treatments like chemotherapy) require medical care - but many people also benefit from nutrition and lifestyle support alongside their clinical treatment.

Both overactive and underactive immune patterns can be influenced by factors such as nutrition, stress, sleep and overall wellbeing. My approach is holistic and supportive, helping you understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and how small, sustainable changes can make a meaningful difference.

How nutrition can help

Nutrition can play a helpful role in supporting both inflammation and immune resilience. We look at the foods, patterns and routines that may be influencing your symptoms — including digestion, blood sugar balance, meal timing, nutrient intake and any potential triggers. We also consider how stress, sleep and lifestyle habits interact with your immune system and inflammatory responses. Together we build a personalised plan that feels achievable, supportive and grounded in your everyday life.

How I work

My sessions are warm, collaborative and centred around what matters to you. We look at the whole picture - not just food, but also stress, sleep, digestion patterns, gentle movement, medical history, medication and your day‑to‑day lifestyle. All of these can influence inflammation, immune resilience and how your body feels day to day. I focus on helping you understand your body, your habits and your needs, and supporting you with clear, practical steps that feel manageable.
